So i’ve already begun my packing process. I didn’t realize just how much shit one can fit into a 1 bedroom place! I always have considered myself to be a minimalist, but the 9 boxes of random stuff (even POST purging!) are mocking me with their mass.
Damn. Perhaps I should play a game of Russian roulette with my boxes and randomly eliminate one. God forbid it’s the box that contains my loufa, midi keyboard, and nine iron. Those will come in handy in Hollywood. I just KNOW it.
It’s so weird to see my home nearly empty. But it’s good to know the next resident will take care of it. My new home in LA is already being moved into by my two new future roommates. I haven’t had roommates in what seems like forever, and I’ve never lived with women before, let alone TWO! Needless to say, it’s Three’s Company in the flesh bitches (with Mr. Roper being portrayed by a darling older lady who sounds like a cross between Estelle Getty from the Golden Girls and Cinderella). The new place will save me serious monthly cash which I can reapply towards owning a nice car with good gas mileage — which ironically is the next big stressful step in this move process.
The moving pod is arriving on thursday between 1-4pm at my friends place (they couldn’t fit it into my underground garage here) so I have to rent a uhaul to get my stuff from my condo to her apartment parking. The pod then gets picked up and shipped on Friday between 8am and 6pm (nice window assholes). It’s nice becuase they will store the pod for up to 30 days for free so I can take my time leaving Seattle and not worry about my shit just sitting on the street for days in LA where vagrants will come along and think it’s another mecca pod.
This is where it’s about to get interesting because all the events I’ve been planning and scheduling are going to start happening in quick succession. Here we go ladies and gentlemen! Let the REAL journey begin now!
Oh, and I realized today (i’m slightly ‘tarded) that I’ll be spending Halloween in the craziest city in American — HOLLYWEIRD!!! Oh the stories that’ll come out of that place…
Night bitches! Now…to figure out how to pack a gallon of milk…
