This is the first official blog that I will be posting in my LA ADVENTURES blog with other blogs like blogs, BLOGS BLOGS!

It’s nearly official, that I, Ethan Newberry, Seattle resident for friggin’ 21 years will be relocating to the amazingly ridiculous world of Los Angeles! Why, ask you, will I be leaving a city full of trees, green, nice people, amazing views, mountains, water, fresh air, nice people, art, theater, nice people, and unicorns to head to a city of Satan? Well, my friends, the reason is like many other’s who’ve travelled before me: To pursue the the entertainment arts and fullfill me dreams!

I have been working as an art director for a top DVD game manufacturer for 3 years now here in Seattle. I’ve established quite a routine and lifestyle here in addition to a nice resume and demo reel. I have also managed to book myself an awesome career as a senior designer for an LA based trailer house designing REAL movie trailers! RuhRoh! Which path do I choose oh wise one? Stay safe and warm in my comfort womb or face danger straight in the eyeholes? This could be the opportunity of a lifetime: basically getting a free ticket to go to LA, with a fulltime, well paying job, and the ability to see if I can make it. Not only as a performer, but as a human.

I’ve always wanted to know if I have “it”. This could be my chance to find out. But the move is more than that. The move is to find out if I have the strength still within me to put aside my comfortable lifestyle here in Seattle that I have become accustom to in pursuit of something new and different and exciting. Granted, I know LA is not the most beautiful city in the world — I have been spoiled with the beauty of the pacific northwest — but it holds other objects of my affection.

I shall use this blog to chronicle my journey from Seattle to Los Angeles. I’ll make sure I let you in on my struggles, triumphs, and other tidbits into my journey. I hope you feel the desire to frequent this little bloggity blog and find out how I’m doing. In fact, why not join up and communicate with me!? I could definately use the support! It’s going to be a hard change of life for me, and I could use all the help I can get.

On that note, I leave thee to thyself. Alone. Staring at your computer screen awaiting the next entry. Like a nerd.

Hey! Good for you, moving to LA! I swear, you are currently living my life. I was always curious if I could make it in LA. You just need the confidence, and from what I can muster, you seem to have it.

Have fun, you. You’ll do fine! :D

Wow, well done! Sounds like one helluva cool gig. I had considered the “move to LA” thing awhile back, and just couldn’t justify the move without having all the requirements in place before I went down there (job, place to live, etc). Glad to see you’ve got those taken care of! :)

So…When are you leaving for sunny California, man?

Jesus Ethan, now who is going to be my fuck buddy?
And since when did you have a condo in Belltown?
What’s up with the bent over action in the alley when we could have been up in your penthouse? ;)

But Seriously E-
Congratulations on the new job, the transition will be diffucult, but L.A. has tons of Starbucks, and lose women so you will be totally hooked up. I will personally miss the Cupcake Shows, and really enjoyed looking forward to those weekend nights to vicarioulsy live through you and Justin’s world and forget all about mine.
You are a very gifted, talented, and intelligent performer and will blow away all the competition, or maybe the competition will blow you! Whichever cums first, you will rock thier ass off! Everytime I see you live my mouth hurts, and my sides hurt for some reason? Maybe I am just hysterically laughing or maybe not?
Good Luck in Smog Town, Remember your loving, caring, supporting, audience members, groupies, and stalkers who have followed you and your career, and all your frigin websites all these years! Keep us all informed of your progress and we want details biotch!
Love you Lots and Lots and thanx for all the pain in my mouth and side when I went to see your shows at Jet City!
